Welcome to a different kind of Kizomba festival. A festival where we strip the dance back to what brought many of us to Kizomba in the first place: The connection. The music. The feeling of truly dancing together. Throughout the festival, different teachers will share their own perspectives and approaches – but every workshop will explore the same three foundations: CONNECTION • PRESENCE • MUSICALITY No complicated combinations to memorize. No endless sequences of steps. No pressure to perform. Instead, we explore the space between two people. How do we listen to each other through the embrace? How can the smallest movement become a conversation? How do we stay present instead of thinking about what comes next? How can we hear more in the music – and express it together? We will work with things like body awareness, communication, leading and following, subtle movement, intention, listening, musical interpretation and the quality of the embrace. And then we take it all to the dance floor. Because this isn't about dancing more. It's about feeling more in what we already dance. Whether you are relatively new to Kizomba or have been dancing for years, you are invited to slow down, listen deeper and discover new layers of connection. Different teachers.
