Om evenemanget

We are excited to invite you to our third gala, a truly special evening where we come together with friends and like-minded individuals to support the recovery program we organize for frontline medics eight times a year in Sweden and Denmark. This time, we’re gathering at Artipelag, a place that has become a significant supporter of our work. When we bring medics to Stockholm, they visit this beautiful space to find inspiration, connect with nature, and receive art therapy. This evening reflects the same spirit—support, empathy, and unity. During this event guests will have the chance to explore ”I Follow the Sun: Sunflowers in Art 1889–2024”, a large survey exhibition of one of the most intriguing flower motifs in Western art. The sunflower, a powerful emblem of resilience and unity in Ukraine, also serves as a fitting tribute to the strength and perseverance of our people. You'll also have the chance to step into Vincent van Gogh’s immersive world as his iconic works are projected across Artipelag's 1,200-square-meter Artbox, set to music by Mozart, Bach, and Satie—inviting you to experience his art beyond traditional frames. It’s an opportunity to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and the heroes from the frontline, inspired by the art and symbolism around us. Ukrainian-Inspired CuisineEnjoy a four-course dining experience created by Artipelag's well-known kitchen, with a special menu inspired by Ukrainian flavors and crafted together with Chef Olexiy Shpionov. Wines for the evening are included and will be served by Racimo, a dedicated importer of fine Ukrainian wines, perfectly complementing each dish.Cultural PerformancesExperience the rich artistic heritage of Ukraine through captivating performances that reflect the spirit and strength of our nation.Charity AuctionBid on unique Ukrainian items, with each piece telling its own story, while contributing to a cause that directly supports frontline medics.Art and AwarenessIn addition to the sunflower exhibition, guests will have exclusive access to "Behind the Smile", an impactful exhibition created by Repower and the Banda creative agency. About the Chef Oleksii Shpionov is a talented chef from Ukraine who catered for large events, weddings, and presentations before the full-scale invasion. In response to the war, he transformed his catering team into a voluntary kitchen, providing meals for those in need in Irpin and Bucha. At the height of the crisis, his team prepared 10,000 meals daily. Now, he runs a food train delivering meals to areas affected by shelling and lacking electricity. Oleksii is collaborating with Artipelag to create a menu that highlights the vibrant flavors of Ukrainian cuisine, offering a unique dining experience for our guests. About Repower Repower NGO is dedicated to supporting Ukrainian frontline medics and doctors, who selflessly save lives in the most challenging conditions. They are the first responders in the battlefield, providing life-saving care under immense pressure. Over time, it all leads to burnout, a loss of purpose, and an overwhelming sense of hopelessness. Repower addresses this critical need by organizing psychological recovery programs, offering medics a chance to reflect, get the necessary tools for relief and build resilience. Through specialized programs in Sweden, Denmark, and Spain, we provide medics with the opportunity to regain mental strength, share experiences with peers. By attending this special event, you are directly helping medics who urgently need to recover and recharge before returning to the frontlines, where their skills and bravery are crucial in saving lives. Your support is not just a contribution to their health but to the defense of Europe and the future of the free world. If you'd like to contribute further or explore in-kind support, please contact Kateryna Serdiuk at kateryna@repower.ngo.
