His talent as a lyricist and multi-instrumentalist caught the attention of Sebastian dos Santos, leading to his signing with the legendary Cape Verdean label Mobass at just 17. Blending Cape Verdean music with Afropop, R&B, hip hop, and dance, William debuted as a solo artist in 2005 with “William 0-21,” showcasing a mix of Zouk, R&B, and acoustic-driven songs. Since then, he has produced over 70 songs for artists like Grace Evora and Nelson Freitas.
